Abstract: The development characteristics and oi1 gcncration conditions in the Arnan seg arc studied based on tectonic and sedimentary evolution history analysis. The Arnan seg is an inheritable basin in which the Shannan trough is the depositing centre of the lake basin and controls the major source area and the hydrocarbon reservoir distribution.The exploration direction is pointed out after analyzing the regular pattern of hydrocarbon enrichment in the seg.
