Abstract: Economic recoverable reserves of oilfield are dynamicvalues which change along with production technologies and economic conditions. The cash flow method commonly in use at present has the disadvantages of large amount of workload and many uncertain factors. Marginal analysis method is presented to calculate economic recoverable reserves. Practical application of this method in an oilfield shows that it is simple and accurate.
