Abstract: Simulation study is performed on seven simultaneous water injection and pre - water injection programs and a correlation between pressure maintenance level and the advanced water injection time is achieved through matching. Formulas are achieved for timing of rational advanced water injection and limit water injection in low permeability reservoirs. Practical calculation with these two equations is performed in Yulin oilfield and a theoretical basis is provided for the timing of water injection.
