Abstract: The basic principle and method of thin interbed locating technology are elaborated and the matters needing attention in implementation are presented in this paper.After the application and effects of this technology are analyzed,it is concluded that this technology is accurate and reliable in locating thin interbeds of 1.5-4m thick with high success rate and notable effectiveness. It has good popularizing prospects in improving liquid producing and water absorbing capacities of strata with medium to low permeability in oil - water wells.
