Abstract: The frequent failure of pump valve not only increases the amount of well pulling service,but also adds productive cost and affects extraction of oil.The stress and the reason of break and throw-off of travelling valve are analyzed,and then the structure,material and processing technique are a-meliorated.The field experiments show that the improved travelling valve is reliable,eliminating the break and throw-off and enhancing the corrosion resistance and drawing re-sistance,so the service time of the valve is prolonged.
