Oil shale features and shale gas favorable area prediction in Yanchang formation of the south area in Ordos basin

  • 摘要: 基于对钻井资料和油页岩样品化验资料的分析,研究了鄂尔多斯盆地南部(旬邑-洛川-甘泉-正宁一带)油页岩的特征,预测出页岩气勘探有利区。研究表明:研究区中-北部延长组(长7段和长9段)油页岩不仅厚度大,而且有机质含量高、母质类型好、演化程度较高,推算页岩气资源量2.34×1012m3,加上该区许多页岩气勘探的成功案例,页岩气有着巨大的勘探潜力。

     

    Abstract: Based on drilling data and oil shale sample testing analysis, the oil shale features of the south of Ordos basin has been studied, which predicted the shale gas favorable exploration area. The study shows that: in the mid-north Yanchang formation, the oil shale is large in thickness, rich in organic matter, good in kerogen type and sufficient for thermal maturity. The shale gas quantity is estimated to 2.34 ×1012 m3, coupled with many successful cases in shale gas exploration, which shows great exploration potential of shale gas in the study area.
