Abstract:
By means of the light and heavy mineral assemblage feature, cutting types and paleocurrent,in combination with regionally structural evolution, the authors studied the source direction of the second and forth member of Xujiahe formation in the middle part of western Sichuan depression. The results prove that the source direction of the second member of Xujiahe formation in the middle part of western Sichuan depression is mainly controlled by the upheaved gradually Longmen Mountains in the northwest, the Qinling Dabashan Mountains in the northeast, the Kangdian Land in the south and the palaeohigh of the Central Sichuan. However, influenced by the Anxian movement, the source direction of the sedimentary period of the fourth member of Xujiahe formation is mainly controlled by the upheaved gradually Longmen Mountains in the northwest and the Kangdian Land in the south.
