Influence of Thread Compound on Sealing Ability of API Connections

  • 摘要: 通过对API螺纹接头特点的分析,考察了不同类型螺纹脂对API螺纹接头密封性的影响。API螺纹啮合后存在的螺旋性间隙是导致螺纹接头泄漏的根本原因。螺纹接头的密封性主要取决于螺纹的加工参数,但螺纹脂对螺纹接头的辅助密封作用不应被忽略。认为在螺纹参数确定以后,螺纹脂对密封性有一定的影响,螺纹脂选择适当可以提高并保持API螺纹接头的密封性能。

     

    Abstract: The influence of different thread compounds on the sealing ability of API connections is investigated based on analysis of the characterisics of API connections .It is the helical clearance area in API connections after making up that contributes to leaking.The sea1ing ability of API connections mainly depends on the machining parameters of connections themselves, but the sealing aid of thread compound can not be overlooked. The sealing ability of API connections can be increased and maintained when an appropriate thread compound is applied.
