Abstract: With the sustainable growth of global energy consumption, high and volatile oil prices and breakthrough progress of horizontal well drilling and completion technology, the thriving development of unconventional resources, such as oil and gas in shale and dense sandstone, have been greatly promoted. United States and Canada have already taken the lead into business development stage of unconventional oil and gas resources. As one of the countries with enriched unconventional resources, China can take the successful shale oil and gas development experience as the reference and speed up the shale oil and gas resources development process.
