Abstract: Oil and gas shows in the deep series of strata in Anpeng oilfield have the characteristics of high volati-bility, weak fluorescence and low abnormality, thus are difficult to recognize. This paper analyzes the causes of its formation and presents some methods to identify light hydrocarbon-bearing layers including full fluorescence scanning technology, utilization of ethane as an alternative reagent of organic solvent and timely geo-chemical analysis.
