Abstract: Current petroleum exploration evaluation involves many parameters, evaluation results are not unanimous, and play correlation is difficult. In order to solve these problems, three new parameters, including exploration maturity index, exploration potential index and exploration development capacity index, and their calculation methods are proposed based on data combination. The values of these three parameters vary in the range of 0 and 1. Application in Jiyang depression shows that these three new parameters can be conveniently used to correlate different plays and to analyze exploration status and explora-tion development capacity.
