Abstract: Description and prediction of remaining oil distribution are very important for production potential tapping in mature oilfields. Based on analysis of the sedimentary, structural and heterogeneity features in this oilfield, this paper studies various factors that influence remaining oil distribution, summarizes the types of remaining oil distribution , and presents measures of production potential tapping by using the dynamic data accumulated during oilfield development.
