Abstract: This paper presents the objective, functions, software framework and realization of management information system of engineering design projects and our experiences accumulated. This system realizes computerized management of information collection, storage, flow, distribution and processing and integrates automatic office system with project information system. The layered and structured software models improve system reliability and make the maintenance and management more easier.
