Feasibility study of analytic hierarchy process to predict dense oil in sweet spot area

  • Da'anzhai member of Jurassic in central Sichuan was a typical self-generating and self-preserving tight oil reservoir, with poor reservoir property and developed longitudinal cracks. As the single well production is affected by many factors, conventional reservoir exploration and development thoughts and the existing industry standards could not be used. Through the geological research on Da'anzhai member of Jurassic in central Sichuan, combining with the industry standard of SYT6943-2013 tight oil geological evaluation method, the feasibility of the analytic hierarchy process to predict the tight oil and sweet spot area is demonstrated, and the current geological conditions and production status were compared. The research results show that the use of AHP to quantify the fuzzy qualitative geological conclusions for the scientific weight, effectively solve the bottleneck analysis due to lack of geological data and reduce the exploration risk. While the dense oil belongs to unconventional reservoir, and there was big difference between the unconventional reservoir and conventional reservoir. In contrast to conventional reservoir, the parameters are not the higher or lower when the linear relationship is better, the parameter interval or upper and lower limit is needed to find out. The analytic hierarchy process should be combined with industry standard to improve the operation accuracy.
