Influences of Thickness and Quality of Concrete Protector on Concrete Durability

Concrete protectors with thickness and quality that do not meet the standards can cause severe damage to the durability of structures.Too thin a concrete protector can be ineffective due to fractures formed and can result in that steel get rusted too early and that its strength and ductility lower.The quality of protectors has an im-pact on cementation power and fire endurance of struc-tures.Therefore,an optimal thickness of protectors should be selected according to the type of structures and the environment.Construction process should be strengthened in respects of ensuring the designed thickness of protec-tors,controlling water -cement ratio and the quality of concrete deposition and performing suit able cure.
