Drilling technology of American shale gas and adaptability analysis in Henan oilfield

In recent years, the production of shale gas emerged in unconventional natural gas production and has already become the new spotlight of hydrocarbon exploration and production the worldwide. It is known that America is the most successful countries on shale gas development and one of the reasons lies in the application of a series of advanced technologies. In this paper, the advanced technologies such as drilling, well completion, reservoir stimulation and lifting of America have been introduced. In accordance with the reservoir characteristics of shale gas in Henan oilfield, the adaptability analysis has been carried out, and then the drilling and production technology suitable for Henan oilfield at present and the ones that need to be strengthened in the further step have been provided.
