Study on cashing drilling technique in shallow well with heavy crude

The cashing drilling technique,as a new drilling technique, is highly superior to the ordinary drilling technique. In order to be suitable to the character of heavy oil reservoir in the shallow block of Henan oilfield,the onestroke casing drilling technique based on ordinary drilling equipment is manufactured.Casing of 178 mm is used in five wells in Jinlou and Gucheng oilfields for the field casing drilling test. The test results show that the construction cycle is shortened by 20%and the drilling speed is increased by 86%.The performance suggests that the casing drilling technique also can decrease the soak time of oil pay and economize the drilling cost.
