Method of porosity correction for formation wave energy in acoustic variable density logging

  • When using the acoustic variable density log(CBL/VDL)data to evaluate the cement bond quality,the formation wave energy of acoustic full waveform can be applied to achieve quantitative evaluation of the secondary interface. When the formation porosity develops, the cementing quality evaluation of the secondary interface can be greatly affected, so the influence of the formation porosity should be taken into account in the quantitative evaluation of the secondary interface by using the formation wave energy. By establishing the acoustic forward modeling model of casing wells, the acoustic wave numerical simulation of casing well was carried out, the formation wave energy and the relationship between the pore was established. By making use of the formation wave energy after correction, the cementing quality of the secondary interface was evaluated,the influence of the formation wave energy on formation pore development was eliminated, the precision and accuracy of the cementing quality of the secondary interface was improved, which provides a basis for the scientific and accurate development of oil and gas well technology measures in the next step.
