Application of ball drop counting sliding sleeve staged fracturing in Jin 58 well block

  • The Jin 58 well block, a tight sandstone gas reservoir with the characteristics of low porosity and low permeability, got a good staged fracturing effect by using the horizontal well open hole packer. However, this technology has its own shortcomings, as the non-full-bore hole which restricts the well treatment. For this reason, the ball drop counting sliding sleeve staged fracturing technology was tested, which optimized the ball drop counting sliding sleeve instead of common stage differential type sliding sleeve by dropping the same size ball to open the sliding sleeve and staged fracturing step by step. The ball drop counting sliding sleeve staged fracturing technology has many advantages, such as an integrated pipe string for well completion, staged fracturing and production,unlimited fracturing stages, rapid fracturing speed and full bore hole after fracturing. Field application in X well showed that this technology could complete 12 intervals fracturing within one day under the normal conditions, but also the AOFP of X well was 8.6 times compared to the general vertical well's in 58 well block.
