Geological features and resources evaluation of Cretaceous oil sand,Wuerhe Mine,Xinjiang

Oil sand resources in Junggar basin are abound,in which oil sand property at Wuerhe Mine,the northwestern margin of basin,is the best.On the basis of previous study on strata and tectonic evolution,further elaborated are the environment,the features of sand distribution,and the comprehensive evaluation of reservoir properties.In addition, the gravimetry is introduced to preliminarily calculate the oil sands reserves at the area,and to sketch the favorable zone. It is believed that the study on Xinjiang Wuerhe Mine of cretaceous oil sand will guide the oil sands exploration in China.
