Identification method of high-water consumption zone in super high water cut oilfield——by taking Shuanghe oilfield as an example

  • Due to the influence of reservoir heterogeneity and long-term water injection development, the highwater-consumption zone in the ultra-high water-cut oilfield develops, while the low-efficiency and ineffective circulation of water injection is not conducive to improving recovery and greatly increasing operating cost. In order to accurately identify the distribution of high-water consumption zones, numerical simulation techniques were used to quantitatively characterize the displacement multiples of different reservoir locations. According to the relationship between displacement multiple and recovery degree, displacement multiple and oil saturation, the displacement multiple is graded and evaluated, and the area with displacement multiple greater than 50 times is defined as high water consumption zone. Then, the identification method of high-water consumption zone is formed based on the evaluation results of numerical simulation. This method has achieved good results in the practical application of Shuanghe oilfield, which provides a basis for the formulation of control countermeasures in high water consumption zones.
