Application of conformal coring technique in No.6 block in Sudan

In accordance with the status of unconsolidated stra- tum.low imbedding depth,large deviation and difficult to coring in No.6 block in Sudan.the problem of low coring recovery rate in unconsolidated formation is solved by apply- ing the conformal coring technique,optimizing the coring op- erations.The coring practice in nine wells shows that this kind of coring technique can enhance apparently the coring quality of incompact stratum in conformal coring technique, and offer references for coring in large deviation,unconsoli- dated formation of other blocks in Sudan.The coring diffi- culty,the features of conformal coring technique,technical operations and the application effect is specified.
