Application of VTK vertical drilling technology in Hailaer oilfield

Hailaer oilfield has the characteristics of sharply changed stratigraphic dip, many developed faults and strong natural deflecting force. So deflection control is very difficult and the ROP is slowly to use light compression and bit-easing and bent screw, the situation has an effect on ROP and the development. In order to solve the above problems, the introduction of the VTK vertical drilling system of Baker Hughes is found to be a good solution to the contradiction between well deflection and the WOB, which can increase the ROP. At the same time, the suitable bit, drilling string, drilling mud system, decreasing the accident, such as drill tool failures, bit freezing, well collapse and so on have been optimized. Shown by 15 Wells field application, this system can effectively control well deflection, release the WOB and increase the ROP in the inclined strata.
