Corrosion and protection of catalytic cracking unit and protective measures

Locations and causes of corrosion on the catalytic cracking unit of Central Petrochemical Plant of Zhongyuan Oilfield are analyzed. It is believed that the main causes of corrosion of the catalytic cracking unit are hydrogen sulphide, carbon dioxide, nitride, NH3, H2O and improper process operation. Process adjustment and application of new technologies can reduce corrosion.
