Application of seismic attributes in prediction of carbonate reservoirs in Sangtamu area

Based on the lithologic features of Ordovician weathering crust reservoirs in Sangtamu buried hill structure, seismic reflection characteristics of carbonate reservoirs are summarized and the corresponding seismic attributes are extracted. Intersection analysis method is used to select appropriate seismic attributes for prediction of fissures and vugs in reservoirs. The spatial distributions of zones with well - developed fissures and vugs and reservoirs in the buried hill in this area are studied Oil and gas enrichment zones are predicted in combination with other study results and favorable exploration targets are selected. Drilling results verify that seismic attribute technology is one of the effective reservoir prediction methods in this area.
