Play Types and Distribution Patterns in Terrigenous Sequences in Steep Slope Zone Biyang Fault-depressed Lacustrine Basin

  • In the steep slope zone of Biyang fault-depressed lacustrine basin, the development of source bed, reservoir and cap rock has certain genetic relationship with the systems tract in the terrigenous sequences and different combinations of source bed, reservoir and cap rock develop in terrigenous sequences of different type. Based on the stratigraphic configurations and combinations of source bed, reservoir and cap rock, the play types in the steep slope zone of Biyang fault-depressed lacustrine basin are divided into three types with eight subtypes and ten kinds. The distribution of play types in each systems tract of terrigenous sequences is unbalanced with TST being the most, RST and HST less and LST the least. TST is a significant target of exploration as viewed from the spatial distribution pattern of play types in each systems tract.
