Application of Integrated Exploration Technologies in Prospecting of Complex Fault Block Reservoirs in Shennan Anticline
-
Abstract
Shennan anticline, a collapse anticline located in the south of Shenxian depression, has good petroleum geological conditions, where sizable reservoirs have been discovered. In this area, the structures are complex, seismic data attributes are poor, trap materialization level is low, the reservoirs discovered have the characteristics of multiple oil - bearing zones with aquifers interbeded, and low resistivity layers exist, thus exploration and development effects are poor. Multifold 3D seismic survey technology is used to improve the quality of seismic data and new data are used to ascertain and evaluate effective traps. The application of directional deviating hole drilling technologies and nuclear magnetic resonance logging technologies lead to the discovery of several sets of oil zones and improvement of knowledge of low resistivity reservoirs.
